Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse Resident to join our growing Cardiac Cath Lab team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Full-time, 0.9 FTE, 12 Hour Day Shift. Shifts includes weekday only (no call).
About our Cardiovascular Labs:
Incorporates Cardiac Catheterization, Interventional Radiology, Endovascular Surgery, and Electrophysiology services. We offer a full array of Diagnostic & Interventional procedures in state of the art imaging suites, including the Siemen’s Zeego Hybrid OR which is utilized for Cardiology and a dedicated Electrophysiology suite. Kadlec is a nationally accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, Washington State Designated Level 1 Comprehensive Cardiac Center, and Blue Cross Blue Shield Association “Cardiac Care Center of Excellence.” Kadlec is the only hospital in the region that can treat heart attacks by immediately opening the artery with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), with full Open Heart Surgery capabilities.
About this position:
This position is in our Cardiovascular Pre & Post unit that supports the patient undergoing our various procedures within the Labs. You will be responsible to review complete history, do thorough assessments, coordinate with care team for medication management, assist in minor bedside procedures, manage patients waiting for bed placement, complete phase 2 recovery and discharge, and other duties assigned with goals of ensuring safe, compassionate, and efficient patient flow. The hours of operation for this unit are Monday-Friday 6am to 6pm.
Nursing degree/diploma upon hire.
All Registered Nurses without a Bachelor's of Nursing (BSN) degree or higher must obtain a BSN within 3 years from date of hire required.
Unencumbered RN license in state(s) of hire, and wherever care is delivered. If RN holds a multi-state license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), the RN must adhere to the requirements of licensure in the new state(s) of hire.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (BLS Provider) within 90 days of hire.
6 months Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Completed a pre-licensure nursing program and is newly licensed. Length of time since graduation can vary; however, typically is less than 12 months from graduation.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelors of Nursing degree (BSN) upon hire.
Certification in related specialty area preferred.
