Kadlec Clinic has an exciting opportunity for a Pre-Admission Registered Nurse to join our growing Orthopedic Surgery Center team, located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Part time, 0.5 FTE. Day shifts.
Benefits eligible! This position supports our brand new, orthopedic-focused surgery center located on Fowler St.
Graduation from an accredited nursing program required.
One (1) year peri-operative or acute care nursing experience required.
Current WA State RN Licensure required.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
BSN from an accredited educational institution preferred.
Three (3) years peri-operative or acute care nursing experience preferred.
Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills preferred.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Registered Nurse you will assumes assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of the pre-admission assessment and coordination of care to prepare the patient for a surgical procedure, and performs a variety of tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
Verifies the endoscopic and pain procedure using the consent form, patient’s statement and if needed the surgeon’s verification prior to procedure.
Notes the condition of the skin for rashes, bruises, lesions and previous incisions.
Elicits patient expectations of care and outcome of surgery.
Maintains required certifications performs effectively in an emergency situation.
Participates in patient/family teaching:
Participates in pre-operative teaching as needed, such as explanation of procedure and environment.
