Kadlec RN - Clinical Risk Management in Richland, Washington
Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Risk Management RN to join our growing Risk Management team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Full Time, 1.0. 8 hour day shifts.
Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing or higher from an Accredited educational institution, or Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing or higher in progress. If Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing or higher is in progress, must be completed within three years from date of hire into the position.
Current WA State RN Licensure required
Risk Management experience –or- clinical nursing experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting.
- Customer Service/Risk Management experience preferred.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Clinical Risk Management RN you are responsible for identifying, analyzing,
monitoring, and mitigating incidents and unanticipated events that have the
potential to jeopardize the delivery of safe patient care and services.
Serves as a resource tophysicians and staff in clarifying and resolving risk management issues.Monitors cases for risk issues.
Reviews Quality ReviewReport issues that may be the source of complaints of potential claim or legalaction.
Develops follow-up plan foreach Quality Review Report.
Advises Patient FinancialServices of appropriate action for unpaid accounts involved in complaints and/orclaims as appropriate.
Prepares Risk referredcases for Medical Staff Quality review, including timeline preparation and/orcase summary.
Enters information intoQualPlus.
Prepares and assigns casesfor Clinical Staff Quality review.
Prepares reports of CSQoutcomes and system improvements for MSQ, Board Quality and other committees asrequested.
Assists Director, Risk Managementwith claims management activities as assigned.
