Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Care Data Coordinator to join our growing Quality Care Management team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Part-Time, 0.5, 20 hour week, Day shift
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Bachelor's degree in nursing or other healthcare related field, or in progress.
If Bachelor’s degree in nursing or healthcare related field is in progress, must be completed within 3 years from date of hire into the position.
Current WA State RN Licensure.
Two (2) years recent clinical experience in an acute care facility.
Data abstraction experience.
Electronic and paper medical records experience.
Software applications experience, which includes Word Processing, Excel, and Access.
Research and statistics experience.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Registered Nurse Clinical Care Data Coordinator you will abstract, analyze, collate, report, maintain and present information for outcomes for measured patient populations in support of clinical performance improvement activities; Initiates clinical care quality improvement and performance monitoring in collaboration with department staff, leadership and providers; Works with the Medical, Nursing and Ancillary teams in the medical center and outpatient settings to improve patient care; and remains an active member of applicable measure outcome committees.
Demonstrate and sustain compliance with the Caregiver Expectations and Standards of Excellence.
Support assigned critical studies through abstraction and collation of data from medical records and hospital data sources following strict data element definitions.
Define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws conclusions.
Work closely with clinical staff, leadership and providers to assist with changes in practice.
Complete accurately, submits timely and ensures integrity of all abstracted data sent to registries and regulatory entities.
Create meaningful narrative reports and graphic presentations of data as scheduled or requested.
Present proposals and recommendations to clinical groups, Administration and Management, when appropriate after analyzing data and reports.
Lead and/or participate on Performance Improvement Teams in support of the goal to improve patient care.
Prepare, maintain and monitor a variety of records, reports, statistics and files related to the assigned activities.
Collaborate in development and provides ongoing assessment of quality improvement projects in coordination with the healthcare team.
Apply Performance Improvement tools to drive improvement.
