Kadlec RN - Cardiac Cath Lab *Part Time* in Richland, Washington
Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our growing Cardiac Cath Lab team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Full-time, 0.5 FTE, 10 Hour Day Shift. Scheduled shifts includes weekday only (call is required).
About our Cardiovascular Labs:
Incorporates Cardiac Catheterization, Interventional Radiology, Endovascular Surgery, and Electrophysiology services. Our team supports the patient in various roles including pre, intra, and post op care. We offer a full array of Diagnostic & Interventional procedures in state of the art imaging suites, including the Siemen’s Zeego Hybrid OR which is utilized for Cardiology and a dedicated Electrophysiology suite. Kadlec is a nationally accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, Washington State Designated Level 1 Comprehensive Cardiac Center, and Blue Cross Blue Shield Association “Cardiac Care Center of Excellence.” Kadlec is the only hospital in the region that can treat heart attacks by immediately opening the artery with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), with full Open Heart Surgery capabilities.
About this position:
This position will work primarily in our Cardiovascular labs providing procedural care for our patients. You will be responsible for sedating, assessing, and caring for the patient for the duration of their procedure in collaboration with the physician and cath lab technologists. You will also be expected to coordinate with the nursing floors when picking the patient up for their procedure as well as when returning the patient. The regular hours of operation for this unit are Monday-Friday 7am to 7pm with all other hours covered by our call team. Call frequency is every 12th full weekend (Friday evening through Monday morning) and 1 weeknight (7p-7a) per week.
Nursing degree/diploma required upon hire.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher within 3 years of hire or equivalent education/experience.
Unencumbered RN license in state(s) of hire, and wherever care is delivered. If RN holds a multi-state license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), the RN must adhere to the requirements of licensure in the new state(s) of hire.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (BLS Provider) certification within 90 days upon hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months upon hire.
1 year acute care experience working with the patient population similar to department of hire or completion of the specialty residency located at that facility.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. Accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan. Practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA scope and standards of practice. Key functions and specific skills for the job are found in the unit specific onboarding checklist and in standards that are applicable to the specialty.
Employs Nursing Professional Practice: Assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements and evaluates patients’ care. Develops, updates and coordinates the patient’s plan of care to achieve patient goals and to optimize outcomes and transitions across the care continuum. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Performs and maintains currency of essential competencies as required by specific area of hire and populations served.
