Kadlec RN - Birth Center Training (February 2020 Cohort) in Richland, Washington
Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our growing Birth Center Department located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Full Time, 0.9. 12 hour variable shifts (primarily nights). Shifts include weekends.
Are you a nurse with at least 1 year of Acute Care nursing experience or a new RN grad looking to specialize in Labor and Delivery? Do you thrive in critical situations? Do you enjoy working as part of a patient centered, multi-disciplinary team? If so, this may be the training opportunity for you!
As a part of our Clinical Academy, starting February 3rd, 2020 we are offering a 12-14 week course which includes computer based learning as well as preceptor training to our Birth Center!
About our Birth Center Department:
Features 33 rooms and includes its own, dedicated, cesarean section OR suite and is home to a dedicated 24/7 OB anesthesia service with a highly skilled MD/CRNA anesthesia team. A postpartum clinic appointment is offered to every patient after discharge. Inpatient lactation visits by certified lactation specialists are offered to every patient. Outpatient lactation consult appointments are available every afternoon. Our level III NICU is also nearby for those babies who can’t wait to be welcomed into the world and need specialized care from our highly skilled neonatal intensive care team.
Nursing degree/diploma upon hire required.
All Registered Nurses without a Bachelor's of Nursing (BSN) degree or higher must obtain a BSN within 3 years from date of hire required.
Active Washington State RN licensure required.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
NRP within 3 months.
At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience and/or Birth Center nursing experience required.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelors of Nursing degree (BSN) preferred.
Certification in related specialty area preferred.
Maternal Child clinical/practicum nursing experience preferred.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Registered Nurse you provide professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. You are also accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan.
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient’s care to achieve patient goals and to optimize outcomes.
Effectively advocate for ethical and holistic care to promote the autonomy, dignity, rights, values and beliefs of those we serve.
Foster a learning environment for patient/families, nursing, and other members of the healthcare team including students.
Align practice with safety and quality. Be accountable for safety, identify and correct problems.
Engage in ongoing professional development; promote a culture of inquiry that explores, integrates and disseminates research and evidence based practice.
Lead and coordinate teams, delegate, coordinate care and collaborate with others as equal members of the inter-professional care team to integrate nursing knowledge.
